🌿 ஆதாம் மற்றும் ஏவாள் கதை (The Story of Adam and Eve)
1️⃣ தொடக்கம் – The Beginning
தொடக்கத்தில், தேவன் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் படைத்தார்.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
பூமி வெறுமையும் இருளும் நிறைந்திருந்தது.
The earth was empty and filled with darkness.
ஆனால் தேவனுடைய ஆவியானவர் நீரின் மேல் மிதந்தார்.
But the Spirit of God moved over the waters.
தேவன் சொன்னார்: “ஒளி உண்டாகட்டும்.” உடனே ஒளி உண்டாயிற்று.
God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
அதுபோல, தேவன் வானத்தையும், நிலத்தையும், கடலையும், மரங்களையும், மிருகங்களையும் எல்லாம் படைத்தார்.
Likewise, God created the sky, the land, the seas, the trees, and all living creatures.
2️⃣ மனிதனின் படைப்பு – The Creation of Man
அனைத்திற்கும் பிறகு, தேவன் தம்முடைய சாயலில் ஒரு மனிதனை உருவாக்கினார் — அவனுக்குப் பெயர் ஆதாம்.
After everything, God created a man in His own image — his name was Adam.
தேவன் ஆதாமை ஏதேன் தோட்டத்தில் வைத்தார்.
God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden.
அந்த தோட்டம் மிக அழகானது — அங்கே பழமரங்கள், ஓடைகள், மலர்கள், பறவைகள், அனைத்தும் இருந்தன.
The garden was beautiful — filled with fruit trees, streams, flowers, and birds.
3️⃣ கட்டளை – The Command
தேவன் ஆதாமை ஆசீர்வதித்து, சொன்னார்:
God blessed Adam and said:
“இங்கே உள்ள எல்லா மரங்களின் பழங்களையும் சாப்பிடலாம்.
ஆனால், நல்லதும் தீயதும் அறியச் செய்யும் மரத்தின் பழத்தை மட்டும் சாப்பிடக்கூடாது;
அதைக் கொண்டால் நீ மரிப்பாய்.”
“You may eat the fruit from every tree in the garden,
but do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil;
for when you eat of it, you shall surely die.”
4️⃣ ஏவாளின் படைப்பு – The Creation of Eve
ஆதாம் தனியாக இருந்ததால், தேவன் அவனுக்கு உதவியாக ஒருவரை உருவாக்கினார்.
Since Adam was alone, God decided to make a helper for him.
தேவன் அவனை ஆழ்ந்த உறக்கத்தில் ஆழ்த்தி, அவன் ஒரு எலும்பை எடுத்தார்; அதில் இருந்து ஏவாளை உருவாக்கினார்.
God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep, took one of his ribs, and made Eve from it.
ஆதாம் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறினார்:
Adam rejoiced and said:
“இவள் என் எலும்பிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்டவள்; எனக்கு இணையானவள்.”
“She is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.”
அவர்கள் இருவரும் தேவனுடைய தோட்டத்தில் அமைதியாக வாழ்ந்தனர்.
The two of them lived peacefully in God’s garden.
5️⃣ சோதனை – The Temptation
ஒரு நாள், சாத்தான் பாம்பின் உருவத்தில் ஏவாளை அணுகினான்.
One day, Satan came to Eve in the form of a serpent.
அவன் கேட்டான்:
He asked her:
“நீங்கள் எல்லா மரங்களின் பழங்களையும் சாப்பிடக்கூடாதா?”
“Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden?”
ஏவாள் சொன்னாள்:
Eve replied:
“இல்லை, எல்லாவற்றையும் சாப்பிடலாம்;
ஆனால் நல்லதும் தீயதும் அறியச் செய்யும் மரத்தின் பழத்தை மட்டும் சாப்பிடக் கூடாது.
அதைச் சாப்பிட்டால் நாங்கள் மரிப்போம்.”
“No, we may eat from the trees,
but not from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
If we eat it, we will die.”
அப்போது பாம்பு சொன்னது:
Then the serpent said:
“நீங்கள் மரிப்பதில்லை; அதைச் சாப்பிட்டால் தேவனைப் போல நன்மை தீமையை அறிந்தவர்களாகி விடுவீர்கள்.”
“You will not die; if you eat it, you will become like God, knowing good and evil.”
6️⃣ பாவம் – The Sin
அதை கேட்டு ஏவாள் அந்தப் பழத்தைப் பார்த்தாள். அது அழகாகவும் சுவையாகவும் தோன்றியது.
Eve looked at the fruit; it looked beautiful and delicious.
அவள் பழத்தைப் பறித்து சாப்பிட்டாள், மேலும் ஆதாமுக்கும் கொடுத்தாள்; அவனும் சாப்பிட்டான்.
She took the fruit and ate it, then gave it to Adam, and he also ate.
உடனே அவர்களின் கண்கள் திறந்தன; அவர்கள் நிர்வாணமாக இருப்பதை உணர்ந்தனர்.
Immediately, their eyes were opened, and they realized they were naked.
அத்துடன் இலைகளைச் சேர்த்து தங்களுக்கான ஆடை செய்தனர்.
They sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
7️⃣ தேவனின் விசாரணை – God’s Question
அந்த மாலை, தேவன் தோட்டத்தில் நடந்து வந்தார். ஆனால் ஆதாமும் ஏவாளும் மரங்களுக்குள் மறைந்தனர்.
That evening, God walked in the garden, but Adam and Eve hid among the trees.
தேவன் அழைத்தார்: “ஆதாமே, நீ எங்கே இருக்கிறாய்?”
God called, “Adam, where are you?”
ஆதாம் பதிலளித்தான்: “நான் பயந்தேன், அதனால் மறைந்தேன்.”
Adam replied, “I was afraid, so I hid.”
அப்போது தேவன் கேட்டார்: “நீ சாப்பிட வேண்டாம் என்று நான் சொன்ன பழத்தைச் சாப்பிட்டாயா?”
God asked, “Did you eat from the tree I commanded you not to eat from?”
ஆதாம் சொன்னான்: “அந்தப் பெண் — நீ எனக்குத் தந்தவள் — அவள் கொடுத்தாள்; அதனால் நான் சாப்பிட்டேன்.”
Adam said, “The woman you gave me gave it to me, and I ate it.”
ஏவாளிடம் தேவன் கேட்டார்: “நீ என்ன செய்தாய்?”
God then asked Eve, “What have you done?”
ஏவாள் சொன்னாள்: “பாம்பு என்னை ஏமாற்றியது; அதனால் நான் சாப்பிட்டேன்.”
Eve said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
8️⃣ தண்டனை – The Punishment
அப்போது தேவன் பாம்பைச் சபித்தார்:
Then God cursed the serpent:
“நீ தரையில் வயிற்றில் ஊர்ந்து போகும்; மனிதருடன் என்றும் பகை உண்டாகும்.”
“You will crawl on your belly, and there will always be enmity between you and mankind.”
ஏவாளிடம் அவர் சொன்னார்:
To Eve, He said:
“நீ பெருந்துயரத்துடன் குழந்தை பெறுவாய்.”
“You will give birth to children in great pain.”
ஆதாமிடம் அவர் சொன்னார்:
To Adam, He said:
“நீ நிலத்திலிருந்து உனக்காக உணவைப் பெற வியர்வை சிந்துவாய்.”
“You will work hard and sweat to get food from the ground.”
9️⃣ தோட்டத்திலிருந்து வெளியேற்றம் – Expulsion from the Garden
அதற்குப் பிறகு, தேவன் அவர்களை ஏதேன் தோட்டத்திலிருந்து வெளியே அனுப்பினார்.
Then God sent them out of the Garden of Eden.
தேவன் தோட்டத்தின் வாயிலில் வாளுடன் நிற்கும் தேவர்களை வைத்தார் — உயிர்க்கொடி மரத்திற்குச் செல்ல முடியாமல் இருக்க.
He placed angels with flaming swords at the entrance, to guard the Tree of Life.
10️⃣ வாக்குத்தத்தம் – The Promise
இவ்வாறே, ஆதாமும் ஏவாளும் தங்கள் தவறினால் ஏதேன் தோட்டத்தை இழந்தனர்.
Thus, Adam and Eve lost the Garden of Eden because of their disobedience.
ஆனால் தேவன் அவர்களை விட்டுவிடவில்லை.
But God did not abandon them.
அவர்களுக்குப் பிறகு வரும் சந்ததிகளுக்காக மீட்பை ஏற்படுத்துவார் என்று வாக்குத் தந்தார்.
He promised a way of salvation through their future generations.
அது தேவனுடைய அன்பும் நீதி மிகுந்த தீர்ப்பும் ஆனது.
This showed both God’s great love and His righteous judgment.
🌈 Moral of the Story – கதையின் நெறி:
கீழ்ப்படிதல் கடவுளின் ஆசீர்வாதத்தைப் பெற வழி.
Obedience brings God’s blessing.
பாவம் பிரிவை ஏற்படுத்தினாலும், தேவனுடைய அன்பு மீட்பை வழங்குகிறது.
Though sin separates us, God’s love offers redemption
